There’s something you should know about me. I love food and I love it to the extreme. When I’m not eating it, I’m thinking about it. My boyfriend and I love checking out new places where we can relax and dine, especially during the weekend. A few weeks ago, we checked out Cheeky Monkey Valletta and it was a wonderful experience, to say the least.
Cheeky Monkey Gastropub is located in St Merchants Street in Valletta, next door neighbour to The Saint John Boutique Accommodation and is-Suq tal-Belt. At the moment, Valletta is the place to be so you’ll definitely enjoy the short walk from the main gate to the gastropub.
Let’s talk about the atmosphere – it’s got that fun vibe that you’re craving for at the end of a stressful workday or that chilled atmosphere for the weekend. The best part about the place is that there’s a swing to take photos on. Unfortunately, it was occupied the whole night so I missed out on that experience!
Every table has its own, very dangerous and VERY addictive, bowl of peanuts to snack on while you drink your cocktails and wait for your food. The drinks were amazing – I cannot wait to visit the outlet for Happy Hour.
The food was on a whole other level. I ordered the healthier option. The chicken breast was cooked to perfection and my side of vegetables never tasted so good. My boyfriend decided to dig into a burger and it looked and smelled divine. Needless to say, I stole some of his fries and they tasted delicious!
By the end of the night, everyone was buzzing – catching up with friends over drinks and food, couples dining in a chill and casual atmosphere. I believe Cheeky Monkey Valletta is fit for any occasion but only if you’re willing to #getcheeky!
